Maryland

Early Voting

You can register to vote in-person during early voting and on Election Day. You will need to bring your MVA-issued license, ID card, or change of address card, or a paycheck, bank statement, utility bill, or other government document that has your name and current address. 

If you are a first-time voter, you will need one of the following forms of identification: 

  • Maryland driver’s license or ID card 

  • Student, employee, or military ID card 

  • US passport 

  • A current utility bill or paycheck showing your name and address and dated within three months of Election Day 

Delaware

Early Voting 

Voters can vote with an absentee ballot in person prior to Election Day so long as there’s a valid excuse for not voting on the day.

Virginia

Early Voting

Virginia voters can also vote before Election Day through a process called absentee in-person voting. The period for absentee in-person voting runs from Saturday, September 19, 2020 to Saturday, October 31, 2020, but dates and hours may vary based on where you live.

Requirements to Register Online

  • Have a valid Virginia DMV driver's license or state ID card.

  • Be a citizen of the United States.

  • Be a resident of Virginia.

  • Be 18 years old on or before the next general election

(if you are 17, you can still register and vote in elections if you will be 18 on or before the next general election).

  • Not currently convicted of a felony or judged as mentally incapacitated and disqualified to vote.
